Last call! (and more details)

HI all!

Joanne and Debbie and I had breakfast at PM Park yesterday and checked out the space and it made us even more excited for the reunion! It's going to be a blast. The ballroom is cool with a great balcony overlooking the lake and the tiki bar - very Clear Lake. :)

And it will be more fun the more of us who are there . . . I have gotten RSVPs from many of you but am still missing some from people who have indicated to me that they're planning to attend. We are telling the caterer our final numbers for the Sat. night dinner this Weds. That means that if you are planning to attend but have not RSVP'd yet, you need to contact me by Weds. 7/9 to let me know you want dinner, then just send the check before the weekend of 7/18. As I mentioned before, if you're unable to attend please send in the information form anyway by 7/15 (I've attached a copy for those who want to fill it out electronically and email it back to me).

Here are a few more details about the weekend:

Friday 7:00pm: Meet at the Other Place patio for pizza & drinks. We'll provide pizza & possibly beer, depending on our numbers & finances at that point.

Saturday 12:00pm: Family potluck at Pine Tree Park. We'll provide plates, cups, plasticware, napkins, and drinks (pop, water, juice). Please bring a dish to share. If you want to grill you'll need to bring your own charcoal. Please also bring any outdoor games you think your kids (if you have any) might enjoy, such as Frisbee, balls, etc. If it rains we're still on, we'll just use the picnic shelter more.

Saturday 3:30pm: Tentative: Tour of CLHS with Mr. Callanan. Mr. Callanan is happy to give interested people a tour of the high school. Please email me and let me know if you think you'd be interested (if no one responds I may cancel so as not to waste his time . . . but if even a few of us are interested he's happy to do it).

Saturday 6:00pm: Appetizers & cocktails in the ballroom at PM Park. Dinner will be served at 7:00pm. There will be a cash bar in the ballroom as well as the Tiki Bar on the beach. Howard Livingston and Milemarker 24 will be playing in the Tiki Bar all night.

It's getting closer!

Only about six weeks 'til the big reunion! The weekend is shaping up nicely and it'll be so fun to see everyone. Hopefully you all received your invitations & information in the mail a while back (if not, email me as soon as possible at clhs1988@gmail.com and I'll get it out to you). Please send your response form & check to me in the next few weeks (and if you can't make it still send in the form so we can all hear what you've been up to).

Since I last posted we've tentatively got Mr. Callanan scheduled to give us a tour of the High School on Sat. afternoon after the potluck. And don't forget to check out Howard Livingston and Milemarker 24 who will be playing in the Tiki Bar at PM Park on Saturday night!

We need to hear from you!

Hi all,

We're getting to the point where we really need to track down as many classmates as possible. We're running an announcement in the Mirror Reporter the next few weeks and will start calling classmates' parents and doing online searches as well. We also need as much word-of-mouth help as possible, so please keep thinking of anyone you know from our class & email them or send this blog address.

In the mean time, if you could email your contact information to us, that would be great. Send your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address to clhs1988@gmail.com. We'll use the information to send announcements and eventually we'll also collect more interesting information about what you've been doing the past 20 years.

Once we have the final cost calculated we'll post ticket information here and via email & "regular" mail.

Beginnings of Details

Hey all! Here's more info. about the big weekend:

Friday night there will be an informal gathering at a bar/restaurant to be determined.

Saturday day will be spent w/families at Pine Tree Park. Probably a potluck lunch & hang out time.

Saturday night will be at the ballroom at PM Park, as we mentioned, w/dinner, hanging out, and some sweet 80s music.

Sunday day will have a few options: do nothing/go home/hang out with your family or meet classmates at the Lion's Chicken BBQ or another optional event (golf, beach, Lady of the Lake, etc.). If you're interested in organizing something for Sunday just email us at clhs1988@gmail.com; we'll see what people have an interest in or just leave it open for people to do their own thing.

More details will be posted here soon, along with ticket prices & information, so keep checking back! And pass this blog address on to as many classmates as you can.
